The most famous train in the world

Part of my ongoing train series which transforms the smokey plumes of vintage locomotives into playful clouds of color and swirl.

The embroidery is created directly onto the vintage postcard using French cotton embroidery thread. The original image is of New York Central's "Empire State Express."

The vintage postcard measures 3 1/2"x5 1/2" and is unframed. The artwork will be signed and dated in pencil on the back.
